my dearie grandma was sick the other day, she was complaining of pains in her abdominals and thurs she was admitted into hospital for surgery. according to the doc, it wasn't too major and he did a keyhole op on her. still, he removed her whole gall bladder and extracted 12 stones from it. she will be unable to eat oily foods from now on, like forever..
when i went to see her that night, she was lying in the hospital bed, unable to move. she could hardly tok or open her eyes, and was having this persistent headache. as i held her hands in mine, i suddenly felt a sense of overwhelming sadness and kept wanting to cry. teared a few times. hope she din notice cos dun wan her to worry. it was jus uncontrollable and i couldn't slp well that night. had to bear it the next day at work as well.
fri went to see her after work and she was looking so much better! really made mi so happy as i watched her sit up and joke with the missy and tokking to all of us normally. for us, it was like the skies being bright and sunny once again. grandma's always been active, having her ktv and mahjong sessions, bringing food up all the way from holland v to hougang jus to make sure that we were well-fed. i lurve my grandma sooo much.
