more moOovies ^^

let's catch a movie!

went to catch The Duchess with darling and his cousins at The Cathay! day's schedule was Left 4 Dead, Astons, The Duchess, drinks and cards. the last min schedule. haha. anyways, The Duchess was a movie about...the duchess. it illustrates a story of a young girl being married to the duke and becoming the duchess of Devonshire. the duke is a perverted beast while the duchess on the other hand, is pretty, witty, humorous, well-liked, and respected by all with the exception of her husband. movie details:

Changeling is a completely, totally, typical literature piece. amazing how a supposedly dreary story can actually be so compelling. keeps us on our toes till the end tho the ending was somewhat disappointing with No Ending. still it portrays a strong will and determination of a woman (Angelina Jolie) trying to uncover the tracks of her lost son, with the help of a church pastor, and during the time of unimaginable corruption. she has to unjustly go through the ordeal of being silenced by the police for the sake of their reputation, who totally neglects the safety of her son, to the extent of being sent to the mental institute within 5 min of confronting a police inspector even without being cross-examined at all. i'm seriously comforted by the fact that the system today is not as such. movie details:

Red Cliff is a must watch! i initially thought that it would be a boring film about wars and battles, but it is so not! 2 hrs 20 min. worth every min of your time. amazingly witty and funny, especially the character Zhuge Liang (Takeshi Kaneshiro). loved the part with the arrows and stuffs. a slight pity tho, is the part where Lin Chi-ling went over to the enemy's camp. somewhat unrealistic. easily overlooked however=) the rest of the movie was fab! loved it to bits!!=D

Love Matters is definitely not one of the best. With Red Cliff and All's Well Ends Well 2009, it desperately pales in comparison. some funny parts tho i think, only can rem 1 for now, which is also quite a lamer. still, sth to catch if ur pockets are overloading with ang pao money and u reli need a movie.

All's Well Ends Well 2009 is not as lame as i thought it would be. in fact, it's such an enjoyable show to catch, i'd happily do seconds=D
